Our Los Gatos Location

Dr. George Contos grew up in New England and attended undergraduate college at UC Berkeley, majoring in physiology, Greek, Sanskrit, and Latin. He completed his Doctor of Optometry degree at the School of Optometry at UC Berkeley.

As a comprehensive doctor of optometry, Dr. Contos is knowledgeable about all types of contact lenses and is glaucoma-certified. He has practiced in the San Francisco Bay Area for many years and loves interacting with all the Bay Area’s different kinds of people.

Dr. Contos has studied Spanish, both in school and during his extensive travels throughout Mexico and Central America. He has also taken introductory courses in Mandarin Chinese to help him communicate effectively with a diverse range of patients about their eye and vision care.

Dr. Contos enjoys reading books about science, culture, anthropology, health, medicine, and history. His greatest joy is celebrating life in the company of friends and family.
